Mandatory insurance requirement: Active comprehensive, hull, and liability insurance coverage is strictly required for all stored vessels/trailers. Customer’s insurance policy shall act as the primary coverage at all times.
2. Storage terms, conditions & waiver of liability
- 1. Measurement & rate structure: Storage fees are billed based on the total overall footprint required (measured from the tip of the trailer coupler/hitch tongue to the rearmost point, including lowered outboard prop, swim platform, or spare tire). Minimum footprint charge is 20 feet ($160/mo). Seasonal balances must be paid in full or on agreed schedule by Dec 1st.
- 2. Month-to-month terms & departure notice: Month-to-month storage agreements require a minimum 30-day advance written notice prior to removing the vessel/trailer from the facility grounds. Seasonal agreements (Oct 15 to Apr 15) are fixed and non-refundable.
- 3. Complete release of liability & limitation of damages: Patriot Marine Services and Maintenance LLC, its owners, officers, employees, agents, and property landowners assume NO responsibility or liability whatsoever for any loss, theft, burglary, vandalism, fire, windstorm, hail, ice, snow accumulation, freezing, rainwater intrusion, vermin damage, collision, or accidental damage to the vessel, trailer, motor, electronics, or personal property while parked or serviced on facility property.
- 4. Customer storage responsibility & pre-storage prep: All vessel storage is strictly at the Customer’s sole risk. Customer is responsible for removing all portable electronics, fishing gear, and personal valuables prior to storage. Customer must ensure bilge plugs are removed, drainage is clear, and vessel is properly tied down unless full shrink-wrap service is purchased.
- 5. Mandatory primary insurance warranty: Customer warrants and covenants that the vessel and trailer are fully covered by an active, valid comprehensive marine insurance policy throughout the entire storage duration. Customer agrees to provide proof of insurance upon request. Customer’s insurance policy shall be the primary and sole source of recovery for any loss or damage.
- 6. Default, non-payment & statutory facility lien: In the event storage fees or service invoices remain unpaid for thirty (30) days past due, Patriot Marine Services and Maintenance LLC reserves the right to lock, impound, and assert a statutory marina/warehouseman lien against the vessel and trailer pursuant to Maryland State Law, up to and including public sale or legal disposal to satisfy outstanding balances.
